Training Plans for RacingThePlanet Ultras by Jeff Ross

A multi-stage 250km race requires a significant amount of preparation to ensure that you safely complete the distance.  The physical training is of course a big part of that preparation and we must embrace the many challenges that it brings!

Jeff Ross (3rd place in his maiden 4 Deserts race, the Gobi March in 2017) has created a training plan series specifically for a 250km multi-stage race:
  • 18-week training duration
  • Choose from 3-days, 4-days or 5-days per week training
  • Suitable for all ages and all fitness levels

The training plans include the following key elements:

-  Training with a weighted backpack
-  Heat acclimitisation
-  Back-to-back long runs

A virtual personal coaching service is also available upon request.
