The Last Desert - Part of the 4 Deserts Grand Slam (and Grand Slam Plus)

Follow a special group of participants who are attempting the 4 Deserts Grand Slam and 4 Deserts Grand Slam Plus.

To complete the 4 Deserts Grand Slam Plus, an individual must successfully complete the Atacama Crossing (Chile), the Gobi March* (Mongolia), the Namib Race (Namibia), The Last Desert (Antarctica) and the RacingThePlanet Ultramarathon, all within one year. To date, only eight individuals have completed the 4 Deserts Grand Slam Plus.

The 4 Deserts Grand Slam includes successfully completing the Namib Race in Namibia, the Gobi March* in Mongolia, the Atacama Crossing in Chile and The Last Desert in Antarctica also all in one year. To date, just 78 individuals from around the world have completed the 4 Deserts Grand Slam.

*In 2022, a Special Edition, RacingThePlanet: Georgia was substituted for the Gobi March in Mongolia due to the pandemic.

The 4 Deserts Grand Slam (Plus) is one of the most difficult endurance challenges in the world.
