Not too slow - Not to fast - just half fast . . . (pause for laughter). Still in the top half - way to go - - When you get back - Do the margaritas go inside or outside the body? Keep up the good work -

Wow...bum foot and still in the top half of the race after stage 4. Great job. By the way are the martini's in the Sahara really dry? Ask the bartender for double olives to replenish the sodium. Goal is in sight...Barcelona 5/27/16. First ones on me.

Dude. You're "Not Dead Yet"! Carry the torch on the leg day for your fellow NDY buddies. Thinking of you when I slogged out a 12 miler yesterday on pavement and got some blisters. Really I never get them training but I must have been channeling you. Charge on buddy!

Well, Stage 1 is done and the foot is getting a needed rest. The actually rolled out steady for me and I hit checkpoint 1 ahead of schedule. Between checkpoint 1 and 2 I saw a sand viper on its morning cruise. Given my injury I had a pretty good day finishing in a sand storm in a bit over 5 hours. I plan on rolling it back tomorrow. The desert here is stark and is stunning where it meets the coast. The wind was a factor today but mostly at our back except for a few sections. All my love to Cathy for her unending support which, without, I wouldn

Dude. Nice report. Any pics of the sand viper? You are running smart and that strategy will get you to the finish. Chow down! More calories early and begging for food later is a winning combination. Carpe Diem H
