A Unique Seven-Day Footrace Experience

Embark on an extraordinary ultramarathon journey with UltraLite (Brazil), a seven-day footrace designed for those who seek the challenge of an ultramarathon but with a more flexible format. Held alongside RacingThePlanet: Brazil 2027, a seven-day, self-supported, 250km footrace, UltraLite (Namibia) offers adventure, endurance, and community—all in an awe-inspiring setting. 

Race Format 

• Complete up to 125km over seven days.
• Choose to run or hike 10 or 20 kilometers per day.
    • On The Long March you can complete up to half the distance—generally a maximum of 40km.
Start at Checkpoint 2 or 3 and finish at Camp. However, some days you may start at Camp and finish at Checkpoint 1 or 2.
    • You are transported to the start point or from the finish point, as relevant.
• You may skip a Stage if needed.
    • You must complete the final Stage 6, which is around 10km.
• Completing at least 50 kilometers earns you a finisher’s medal.

Equipment & Logistics

• UltraLite competitors must bring the same gear list as the full RacingThePlanet ultramarathoners.
• You can choose to have your camp equipment transported from Camp to Camp, making it easier for you to focus on the run.
    • Your Camp bag must not exceed 60 liters in size.
• You must carry emergency gear during the race.
    • Generally, this is a 10-20 liter backpack weighing about 5kg.

Campsite & Accommodation

• UltraLite (Brazil) participants will stay at the same campsite as regular RacingThePlanet ultramarathoners.
    • However, you have separate tents shared with other UltraLite competitors, fostering camaraderie and shared experiences.

Eligibility

Minimum age: 18 years old.
No upper age limit—challenge yourself at any stage of life!
