4 DESERTS GRAND SLAM PLUS




Five races. One year. The ultimate endurance challenge.

For a rare few, conquering all four deserts in a single year is not enough. The 4 Deserts Grand Slam Plus takes the legendary Grand Slam one step further: complete all four races of the 4 Deserts Ultramarathon Series and the RacingThePlanet Ultramarathon, our fifth race held in a new and spectacular location each year, all within one calendar year. 

That means five six-stage, 250-kilometre (155-mile) self-supported footraces: 1,250 kilometres across the hottest, driest, windiest and coldest deserts on Earth, plus one of the world’s most remarkable landscapes. 

• the Namib Race in Namibia
• the Gobi March in Mongolia
• the Atacama Crossing in Chile
• The Last Desert in Antarctica
• the RacingThePlanet Ultramarathon (location to be announced)

Since the 4 Deserts Grand Slam began in 2008, just 97 people have completed it, and only a handful have gone on to claim the Grand Slam Plus. It is one of the most exclusive achievements in endurance sport. TIME magazine has twice named the 4 Deserts Ultramarathon Series one of the Top Ten Endurance Challenges in the World, alongside icons such as the Tour de France and the Vendée Globe. 

In 2028, all four 4 Deserts races take place within a single calendar year, making it the perfect year to attempt the Grand Slam Plus. Will you be among the few?
