The training towards Sahara Race is going well and after a good 2015 season im ready to get on with the quality-training this year. My coach Sondre Amdahl put together a nice "show" this week and im very happy with all six runs. In 2015 i ran 4125 km, competitions included so i feel that my body is ready for the challenges that are ahead of me with The Grand Slam. But im patient and will build my self up nice and steady in the upcoming months befor the first race.

Its so crazy to think about The 4 Deserts Grand Slam and my goal to become the first norwegian to accomplish this. I have a lot of work to do this winter and the training has begun. I will post a blog each week that describes my training so that should be fun reading, hopefully.

Why The 4 Deserts Grand Slam?

Three years ago my life was not good at all. I hated my job, my life and my body. 136 kg in january 2013 and that was a real shock for me. I started a journey to change my life and today im a very healty and happy man. The longest distance ive ever had run before this point was 3 km. I will tell you more about this in a later blog.

When I was a young boy I always wanted to do something special and unique. Something that no one had done before. When I saw the movie Desert Runners for the first time i thought it looked very exciting. A few months later i saw the movie one more time and decided to go for the challenge if no other norwegian had done it before. There are several norwegians that have done some of the races and Frode Lein, Gunnar F

Fantastisk, Thomas! Ser på bilder på hjemmesiden til løpene nå, og så også bilde av deg der. Imponerende!! Stå på, ikke gi deg! Tenk på veien fram til der du er nå... Lykke til videre! Tanker sendes din vei!
