After signing up for my 2nd desert race a month ago, so many people, including my friends, colleagues and relatives, all asked me a lot of questions...the FAQs are
1) Why are you doing this again?
2) Why paying so much money to torture yourself?
3) You get freckles from running in deserts...aren't you afraid?
4) How do you take showers during the race?
5) Are you out of your mind?

Usually I would just smile to those FAQs while my heart said NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS lol

Looking back, my dad was not happy when he knows I registered for Gobi March 2013. Things changed when he read the stage updates during the race and he actually followed me all over the race and stayed up to read every update. He also sent me a message telling me that he finally understands why I am doing this race as he saw my smile in the race picture post on web.
The race did bring us closer than never before.

Lastly there is a fundamental difference between what is fun to do and what is truly satisfying. To me, Sahara Race is certainly the latter.
