hi all,

many apologies if any of you have tried to get in touch with me...whilst I was away, my company switched network providers from O2 to Vodafone, and I haven't got the new sim yet, so my phone is out of action until tomorrow, Monday 12th Nov.

The feet have recovered and the body is up for resuming training this week...what next????

We all said never again during the event, but things feel a tad different now...

I spent my recocery week with Luce writing a book...I found that easier than reading one...I know my mother would agree with that...she still thinks I can't read...

I'll publish the events, along with pics...not sure what the release date will be.....maybe out for Xmas...(joke)!

Thanks for all your support and all your kind words. We have raised nearly

first off apologiess for not emailing and not blogging...why?

the intrenet connection in the middle of the sahara is very iffy....they,ve hardly had connection for us to use which is shit...

there are also 4 laptops between 80 competitors and staff...not good..

I tried blogging on Tuesday, wrote a massive one...went to hit publish and the internet connection went...very annoying.

Thanks for all the emails, I have read them daily...they are able to download everyones emails in one go and folders get distributed to each tent...they have been a massive help!!

We completed the 93.8km run an hour ago...hell, that was tough...over 20 competitors have dropped out, and I think we are now in the late 40's position wide....Tomorrow is a 10km finish and its all over.

My feet are in a very, very bad way! I will definitely be losing 4 toe nails and maybe more... I can hardly walk at the moment, let alonbe anything els, however with the aid of some serious pain killers i have got through it - my personal pain management has been tested to the max.

I had a pretty emotional day on Monday afternoon...was so tough and my blisters were excrutiating...took us 3hours to do 5km

Hi Geoff I am sooooooo proud of you what you have done is absolutely amazing and I can whole heartedly say I am in absolute orh of yours and everyone elses achievement! How you kept going I don't know? But it shows great strength of character - Just goes to show what the Wappetts can do if they try - you can spend six days in immense pain in the desert and I can spend six days in immense pain giving birth - Sounds to me like me like you've come as close as it gets for a man to experience what the pain is like giving birth! (fun hey!) I really look forward to catching up with you on your return - Big hug to Uncle Geoffrey from Little Betsy and me x

Hey all I just read on someone else's blog that the competitors can't actually read our comments! Not sure if that's true (seems a bit silly) but if you want to send a message, please email via the below page as I know they are receiving these and are really appreciated http://www.4deserts.com/sahararace/rtpsrtp.php?SID=3&SBID=RC14 Lots of love, L xx

Hey Wapps! Hows it going? There's been no breaking news so far today. Looking forward to hearing how the first day has gone. Currently sitting in the deli-cafe down the road. Wi-fi is free as long as I buy a drink and a cake! Internet cafe was shut and no connection at the flat. V rainy and miserable here. Will email separately so you should get that later. Can't stay here all evening so mum will keep me up to date if there is any news on the site. LOTS OF LOVE FROM ME! L xx
