I DID IT!!!!!!!!!  All I wanted to do was complete the race and I did just that.  I may even get a second place finish out of it.  How nifty would that be!   Thank you all for your support and words of encouragement.  You have no idea how much they helped.  Boy do I have some stories to tell.... and lots of colourful words have been added to my vocabulary.  One more grueling day left. 1 Km.  With the state of our feet, most of us will probably walk some of it.  our feet seem to be the talk of the camp... our feet and food.  Sweet sweet food.  You have no idea how much I need food.  Between our food cravings and the level of scum on our bodies, I feel sorry for the staff of the Dusit Thani Hotel.   I'm ravenous and have run out of food...  Time to go foraging in the desert.

You should have seen me at work when I checked your status. I'm just giddy with excitement over how well you've done. You're an inspiration. To think that you almost didn't make it because you couldn't find your keys at Whataburger... :) Just kidding. Seriously though, Jay & I are SOOOOOOOO proud of you. You prove that progress is all about determination and commitment. We're looking forward to your awesome stories. Whataburger is on me.

Christina, I was thinking about you off and on during the day and am so proud of you. Amazing and congrats. Hard to believe what you have done from sitting here. You'll live off for it for years. Enjoy the ending and the time after; you so deserve it.

Hi everyone.  Thank you again for your kind words.  They really help.  Today was much better.  MUCH BETTER.  The terrain looked very famillar.  I'm pretty sure this is where NASA filmed the first moon landing.  With that said... Justin, I think I did run to Dagoba.

Kim, I will channel anything I can at this point.
Rika, I  can't wait for that meal.  That goes for everyone else too.  I'm seriously hungry.  Tell my clients if they are stuck at a plateau, I have a new plan for how they can move past it.  Tell all the girls I said hello.

Simon!!!  Hello,  So nice to hear from you!!!  Will and I are helping each other through.

Melody and Brian!!!!  Thanks for cheering me on.  I won't give up. This one is for mighty hemaphrodite!!!!

Holy smokes.  The emails from yesterday just came in.

Barbara,  Some calm and sea salt would be nice.  Who said I was crazy/nuts????  10 more pounds on to their lowest weight!!

Barbie,  Hello!!  No sign of Kurt yet??  Good.  Tell gernade I was second female over all two days in a row and I'll have another butt whopping for him.

Helen!!!  You made me laugh when you said you and Alex were complaining about your 4 mile run.  I think I'm going to specialize in 3k walks from now on.

Dee  I will get that photo for you!!!

Thanks everyone!!  Tomorrow is the long day.  87 Kilometers.  My European tent mates have just scoffed at me trying to convert that into miles.  Apparently its about 55 miles.

Wish me luck.

You're doing AWESOME Chrissy! You never cease to amaze me with your determination. 2/3 of the way done! You can do it! P.S.: Those Europeans are just hatin' because Stan the Stallion is American.

Hope you both got thru today's staggering mileage. You're such an inspiration. It's like when you tell kids to eat up because "think of the starving children in Africa", track session last night got tough, so my mantra was "think of Will and Christina in Africa". Enjoy your food and modern plumbing tomorrow! Helen

Hey girl! Focus on mini goals. Since this one is twice as long as your previous stages, I am sure you are preparing yourself mentally. Our clients are following you closely. Be strong. What the mind can conceive, and believe, the mind can achieve. You can do this!

Hello Everyone.  Today was the toughest day yet... for me.  I didn't want to finish.  I don't know how I will make out tomorow.  I am hoping terrrorists will kidnap our camp and we don't have to run tomorrow.

Everything aches.  I feel sick, but on the bright side.  still no  cramps.

Thank you all for your words of support.  I am going to force down some food, get some rest and take on tomorrow.  By the way.  I want lots of food when I get back. Lots of chinese and mexican.  Lots!!!!.  See you guys later!!!

Do the best you can; you are brilliant. Just keep looking into yourself to find more and as you said set small goals as you go. What you have achieved so far will make you so strong for whatever lies ahead.

Hello Everyone again.  I just finished stage two.  I'm glad to be done.  Today we finished with sand dunes.  The angle where we approached the dunes, it looked like we only had to traverse one.  However, there were six of those *@!!$#  @&#(@&#!!'S.  But, believe it or not, those were the easiest of the course.

This is  a lot tougher than I realized.  I make mini goals for myself until I finish.  Today was a lot better than yesterday.  No cramping, just aching.  Plus I got twelve hours of sleep last night.  OH!!!   and it rained last night too.

Barbie, Barbara, Natasha, Rika and Rosemary and Sarah W.  Thank you for thinking of me.  I really appreciate all your kind words and positive thoughts.  Barbara, the Peanut Butter granola bars are great.  Melted but great.  (Who thought it would be hot in the desert.

Dee and Justin.  Thanks for rootin for me.  I'll need that IV when I get back.

Mom and dad!  Thanks for helping me though!  I hope I  can make you proud!!

Oh, one more thing, this makes me want to try those sports enhancing drugs I've heard so much about.  I'm starting to realize why people take them.

Take care!!!

Hello everyone.   Thanks for your support and positive thoughts!!!   Today was tough.  I need to stay hydrated, lots of cramping.  Good luck for tomorrow!   It's a longer mileage.  I may write more tomorrow.  The scenery is  nice.  I feel like I'm on Tatooine.  I hope everyone can read this!!!!  Off to eat now.  I love you all.  Take care.  Mom, can you make sure the girls at work can get the blogs.  [email protected]  See you all later!!!!
