Your efforts are incredible and inspiring. Keep up the good work and I can't wait to run with you again! Maybe next year we will both be able to run the entire Montreal to Ottawa run.

Matt, I'll echo the last two comments. To have done 3 (three) consecutive desert races in such a short span is truly a huge accomplishment. And to rank as high as you did in all three is beyond human. Congrats to you and Ash. I hope you are feeling better buddy. Enjoy the rest of your trip in Egypt. Big applause from Kingston Dental.

Hi Mehmet, Amazing race, very rough environment, and you keep on going... all the best for the rest of the race, take care of yourself. we're all thinking about you...

Posted On: 28 Oct 2009 03:47 am

Mehmet---who can control the Sahara? I know you'll still push it, I know you won't quit, I just hope you have healed well following that brutal stage. I also know your spirit won't be diminished one iota as , for you, it is truly about the journey---the self-discovery and the camraderie. You are undoubtably much more overjoyed at Ash's incredible result than you are dismayed at your own misfortune. Your friends, co-workers and loved ones feel fortunate to share in some small part of your epic. Besides, every good play needs some tragedy---makes for a better story! Trod on, my friend, who knows what will happen. Ralph

Hi Mehmet, I guess it was a tough one today. I know you've pushed it pretty hard in the first two stages but hey this is very normal. It is only easy for us to read the news from the competitors about how hot and tough it is out there but no one other than you can feel and experience it that close. So, I can fully understand your situation. There is nothing to be upset about. I'm just hoping that you recover soon and recover well. As long as you're healthy that's what matters. We're all behind you and you are still our champ!
