Hello, hope you had a great run, then a fabulous dinner with your fellow friends. Just heard: Beks baby - Brooke Patricia 2500 gms, 35 wks. May be in hospital for a little while as she was early, but she looks beautiful, like Rachel, I think. Xx

Sorry forgot to tell you big royalty news. Prince Phillip has stepped down from royal duties. He is very old so I guess it's warranted.

Charlotte and Nicola , What a week! Worry for me at the start of each stage, then excitement at your finishing. The days/ night seemed to go so slow back home waiting on news. While all you were focused on, was putting one foot in front of the other and reaching the checkpoints and finish line and with aching bodies. What an effort! Still amazed and excited at how well you both went under the extreme circumstances. I was a bit sceptical when you first told me you wanted to run 250 kms, esp. as not even run in a marathon, but how you have proved me wrong and others, I'm sure. I know I will be inspired by you both next week when I do the Mother's Day Classic- a mere 10 kms and not even in 45deg heat.( Charlotte you are so much like Nick - very determined to try anything that comes your way. ) He would be so proud of you both and he would have loved to follow your steps. To run for such a great cause and raising so much money is inspirational. You are both exceptional! Enjoy your last run along the Skeletal Coast and especially enjoy the meal and beautiful African people who await you. Can't wait to hear all about it after you've had a well deserved rest. Lots of love and hugs to you both , xxxx

Charlotte, this amateur blogger is about to retire, but not before congratulating you one more time on your (and Nicola's) fantastic achievement in completing the 250 km Namibian desert multi-marathon! We are so proud of you and happy for you both. Enjoy your well-deserved end-of-race celebrations. And thank-you so, so much for being there with Nikki throughout your amazing journey. Thomas

Hi gals. Can't wait to hear all about the last few km. now more importantly, are you both still eating plain spaghetti and did you pack enough food? Can't wait to FaceTime soon and cry and tell you gals how much I love you both. You little legends! Xxxxxx Ps very slow daily mail news day. All the updates are very boring.

Fantastic!!! Charlotte, that you two made it is really heroic!!!!!! I recon you will be on such a high when you are arriving at the finish line. Maybe you and Nicola will tour the motivational speaker's round. You already motivated us when this morning Thomas and I were thinking about/ or not goring for a swim in the now colder South Coast waters. Then we told ourselves" If Nic and Char can run 250km in the desert, we can brace the cold waves, and in we went! You will so so enjoy the simple comforts in life, clean water for washing and food. Can't wait to hear from you girls ASAP. Love

Hi Char, Read about your Day 4 Long March on Nicola's blog and good to read your Day 5 report. How today must have been so different to other days' 'Mars like' landscapes! Swim and a shower - luxury! And yes, you will be so glad to finish the 250km, and sad to leave the friends you've made. But like any other other trip, those friends will be life-long and you will keep in touch and maybe visit to see them again in more comfortable circumstances. Or maybe you can tempt them to visit downunda! Now enjoy that last 10kms. We hope you have a celebratory event with all your hard work behind you, in the same way you had a fundraising event with it all ahead of you! Cheers Gordon and Monica

Hi Char, loved reading your detailed blog/report on the Long March. Such an amazing effort you two, with around 15 people pulling out due to the heat. Such an amazing effort to go all day and then most of the night till the sun comes up. You girls are legends at such a young age - the experiences and many memories will be with you forever. Charlotte. There are no more superlatives we can use to describe your magnificent effort! You and Nicola have completed stage 5 in a supreme effort and now you have the short run into the finish line tomorrow. You are both marvelous champions and have inspired everyone here at home with your tenacity and support for each other. We are all so proud of you. Enjoy the run to the finish line followed by long shower, clean clothes and 'proper food' ! You have also raised over $16000 for your Rare Cancers cause. xxxx

Hey winner! Woke to see that you and Nikki completed the Stage 5 dune day in a mere 8 hrs 30 mins. Must have been like another stroll at the beach for you super athletes? You have both been amazing through this adventure and must be among the happiest (and perhaps sweaty'ist) young women in the world. Enjoy that last stage across the finish line and the celebrations which you so richly deserve. Thomas

Char and nic. You gals are so sporty and tremendous. I told nic but we had a wedding and I told everyone there about you gals and we all agreed how fabulous you two are. The home stretch is here so I hope you are taking full advantage of getting some guys to carry your bags and swap food with you two so you're not stuck with the same stuff. You two must be so toned and fit at the moment. We will definitely need to get a few new profile pics right after the race. You guys made ABC radio again and the lady gives little updates on you two and the race. All of Canberra is behind you. In more daily m news: Harry styles solo tour is sold out, kimmy k has launched a new kids line (does Levi have his wedding outfit yet hahahahaha) and kardashian tv ratings are dropping drastically! Miss and love you both xxxxxx

Your story is absolutely awesome. The difficulties you girls (and all the others ) are enduring , coping with and overcoming are enormous. You are doing it!! At times it must feel very other worldly. You really need to have experienced 45+degree arid heat to appreciate how hard it is to breathe in it......... and you girls are running in it, for hours and hours! A magnificent achievement. Many thoughts for the last stages. Man , that shower , when you get it will be fab.

Charlotte, thank you so much for your (and Nicola's) wonderful blogs. They bring tremendous joy and happiness to so many people (plus it's good to know that you haven't been eaten by lions). You'll have such wonderful shared memories (forgetting all the sweat, grime and electrolytes). Now you've just got to conquer those day 5 sand dunes and the end will be in sight. It's been inspirational to see and read about what you and Nicola have achieved. Can I have your autograph, please? Thomas

Darling Charlotte, sooooo proud and excited, but also actually very sad you had to put your body thru that hardship. What endurance you both have! Did you think it would be that bad before you started? Reading the other peoples posts made your efforts seem even greater. Hope you both managed to rehydrate, eat and sleep- the tents would be stifling. You would be off again now tackling those sand dunes as I'm writing this. It must have been so hard to get going again.( Can't wait till it's over and I can get some sleep.) Whatever happens now, you are true winners!! Not long now before you get that shower. Let us know when you are able to talk at the hotel. Can't wait. Go well on the last leg! Love you always xxx Mum Ps : Bek is in hospital having her baby. Will keep you posted.

Charlotte, you two are incredible!!!!!!!!!! You have now scored 203 goals. I think you both are superhuman and our parents, Thomas and I celebrated your superhmanity yesterday with the odd glass of bubbly. What you have achieved is so, so special and I am wondering how many first timers will actually complete the race, and that you will complete is a sure thing for me. So many strong and athletic looking men pulled out of the race and in the female, under 29 category you are coming 2/3. Not that this actually matters. We read some other blogs and it really puts your effort into perspective. So glad, that you are there for each other. What a memory to share!!!! Love

Charlotte, Nicola and you are UNBELIEVABLE. We celebrated your epic 80k finish with champagne at the Roths last night! About now you will be starting your last major challenge - the sand dunes. I am sure that you will both smash it as you have at every other stage. Everyone here thinks your effort has been just awesome and are all willing you on over the last stage, We are so very very proud of you. Just think, two more days to a shower and the beach!! xxx

Heya Char!! Well done on finishing the big 80km! I'm sorry I'm not the first comment today... had a last minute dash to massage some brumbies :) I went to a trivia night the other night, and learnt that Sand is made up of Silicon and Oxygen. I thought you'd like to know given the sand dunes tomorrow which you will crush like everything else you've done so far! Just think how good you will feel once the sand dunes are done! only 10km left! I hope you get the sweet as hot shower at the end of the dunes though! xx

Hello! Only have 5min until the cybertent closes so have to make it short. Just finished day 3 aka day of hell! It was 42km of running on sand! But we did pass a seal colony which was cool. My legs feel alright but wearing the pack is so hard, my shoulders are on fire! Also the last 10km was like running on mars; nothing but arid desert

Hello Charlotte , what an achievement. You both are Aussie stars! Can't be more proud of you and Nicola. I don't know how you continue but I know you have that fighting spirit as was seen when you were 3, coping with chemotherapy and surgery and pulling through after so many adversities. You have always been so strong, Then running in the kindy cross country and coming first. I was so emotional then, as well as now. Who knew you would be an ultra marathon runner. Can't wait to see you and wish I was there to give support and maybe a massage or two. Love you so much. I'm sure Nick would be also so proud of his big sis. Think of him and all he went through. Run for him. Let him be your inspiration. He loved you! Xoxo

So proud of you two troopers for dominating day 3! The seals sound awesome but running in the sand for so long sounds pretty shit. Hope those cliff bars are delicious and you bough the White choc macadamia flavour! In dailym news updates this 22 girl was caught smuggling cocaine into aus (she is so guilty), the MET ball outfits were outrageous (you may want to draw inspo from them for your maid of honour dress, esp rhirhi's) and pregnant teen mum kailyn Lowry has admitted the baby's daddy is longtime friend Chris Lopez! Miss you both! When times are tough think of how nice that hotel is that you booked for after the race! Love you both xxxx

Number one she always seems to be the first person to comment on your girl's blogs ( what about work?!) and secondly there seems to be a steady referral to bringing back boys, etc........ Well done, girl. I feel that after this stage you can do anything. You are halfway there, so any km that you get behind you gets you a km closer to the finish line. What an epic effort!

Charlotte, I'm really not sure about Clare's 'helpful' suggestion above that you should get some of the 'male roomies'' to massage your and Nicola's legs! Ha ha. From Nicola's dad .... and probably your dad, too.

I love that Theresa is leaving you with gossip, who would have thought that Serena won the Aus open while pregnant. Amazing. Maybe think of that when it starts getting hard, if Serena Williams can win a grand slam during early pregnancy, you and Nic can smash out the rest of this race with any aches or pains that you have. Make sure you are massaging each others legs at the end of each day, especially around the outside of the knee where you ITB attaches into the knee. Or maybe put one of your male roomies to good use and ask them to massage your legs for you. Don't forget to get some phone numbers of the good looking single ones... and maybe even try your luck for a piggy back along the way he he! Looking forward to tomorrows posts. I can't wait to give you both big hugs when you get back

Congratulations! Keep up the good work girls! When you are searching for camp tonight, hold on to that feeling of when you were cheered in, hopefully it will override the knee pain? Running for such a great cause! Looking forward to keeping up with your adventures as you progress. Enjoy the scenery (when it changes). Nat - Trinity Christian School
