apparently cc & I have not had enough, cause as soon as we got back from atacama, we signed up for sahara. we SWORE we would never EVER do one EVER again! seriously, who were we kidding?!

at least this means I get to do more gear shopping

Hi Stephanie, I did Sahara 2010 & I am doing it again in 2011. The nights were pretty warm and most nights you did not need to get inside your bag. Some nights were actually hot in the tent. A lot of runners slept outside of the tents, especially the last few nights. I would definitely recommend a pad under your bag for any newbies! The sand is not that soft when you are sleeping on it and sometimes there are rocks or hard spots. I learned the hard way. Looking forward to meeting you in Sahara! I haven't done Atacama yet but it is on my "to do" list.
