Hi All of you, Thank you so much for your kind words that you have given me - This has been the hardest thing i have ever done in my life - the conditions are brutal - sand, sand and more sand - the hills have been huge - the sand storms hard - my legs and blisters are killing me - i cant wait to get home and have a good sleep and eat normal food - and most importantly return home to Jutti - I have just completed the longest stage of the event 93km in 21 odd hours - no sleep - no food - non stop. i stink so bad, as none of us have washed as we cant - and we are all in so much pain. tomorrow is the last day - just a short 1 of 13km. i have made some great new friends - people you would never normaly meet in your every day life - great, great people from all over the world - i would love to catch up with you all soon and share my experience. One thing i have learnt out of this - is you trully understand what is important in your life - Jutti my family the Lehmkulers / Mayous and my friends are everything to me. Love Giles xxx

Dear Giles, I am full of admiration and amazement for your almost incomprehensible achievement. I have been telling everybody that I meet and no one else has a relative or god son who has achieved half as much! It seems that only a few months ago you were crippled with a bad knee. We look forward to hearing how you did it. You should be dining out on this for many decades. Love to Jutti. Yours with even greater respect, Bryan

Giles - old boy. Amazing effort out there - I coud have not done it without you. Many memories of my friend will be forever etched into my mind. Great memories, good laughs and a few tears. You are man amongst men and it was my pleasure to wander the desert with you. Blain

Wonderful performances from the lot of you. Giles - suggest you shove a freshly peeled banana up your bottom to alleviate the pain. Keep on truckin' rubber ducky...
