Hi Sang, good luck this weekend in your 100k. Go slow! The tortoise always wins my friend!

Hi! Thanks for your message! Good luck with the two Marathons - It will be nice to meet you in Cairo. Karen

Thank you, Mary. You know Yangyang Ultra will be held in the region of Seoraksan(Mt. Seorak) which is one of the most beautiful mountains in South Korea, but the race will be so hard as we do have to run high elevations such as 850m above the sea level. I will try to go slowly so I can cross the finish line, and it will give me confidence for the Sahara Race, as well. Thanks, Sang

hahaha,,, I was so happy to see a light in the middle of the evening as I hadn’t seen any people since 1:00am. I was wondering is there any ‘pretty lady GOAST’ to have a company with me, but there were none except the sound of water and wind. When I was passing through the monk, I said ‘hello’ to the monk, and the monk also said ‘hi’ back to me with very short and dried voice. As it was dark, I couldn’t figure out whether he was scared or happy to see me.

It looks like a beautiful hike and a great distance to get in for your training. Wonder who was more surprised at 3am, the monk or you.

10 August 2009 06:34 am (GMT+09:00) Seoul

After my registration for the Sahara Race 2009 on Thursday, August 6, 2009, I decided to join the Jirisan (peak elevation 1,905m above sea level, 55km long) trekking with Mr. Yoo, Jisung, Country Manager for Korea of Racing The Planet, as my training for Sahara 2009.

We had lots of fun and shared the useful information during the course. It was very useful occasion for me to catch up the necessary info from who already have affluent information on 4 desert marathons.

But I am still worrying about how to train myself for the Sahara in such a short time as the Race is just around the corner. But I am pretty positive learning and sharing the information from all of the participants.

I am so excited to come to Sahara with full of anxiety and looking forward to seeing & meeting friends from all of the world.

Dear Hamish, What's 'Experts' Rob and Matt (on the RTP website)? Would you let me know the web site? I have tried, but I couldn't find yet. Thanks, in advance. Sang

Posted On: 11 Aug 2009 11:14 pm

Thank you Hamish, I will certainly take a look at the Blog. As I haven't had any experience, I am just concerned about anything. But I will get over it with such a warn atmosphere from so many people. Thanks again, Sang

In terms of equipment and preparation, have a read of the blogs by the 'Experts' Rob and Matt (on the RTP website), both these guys are very experienced and written up some detailed lists of what to take and how to train. The RTP store also has recommended lists of equipment by event, so another good place to look. You'll also find if you have any questions you put in your blog, they'll be answered by RTP staff or competitors. Cheers
