Tarmo, Are you doing Sahara 2011? It will be nice to see a familiar face! My friends who finished 2010 race are not going back, just me. Keep in touch & yes, we can request the same tent. good luck with your training! I need to work on not getting blisters.

I got the huge package today. Freeze Dried meals. Expedition Foods. Too much for me. 19 packages + some more to try before race.
Why these? Simple: I like these orange colored packages.

Your orange hat gave it away. Regarding food, I still haven't tried much freeze dried food. I know I can eat anything, and I know it won't taste AMAZING, so I will just snarf down the healthy stuff for now. ps. I expect a total orange outfit!!

Thanks for the comment, Tarmo. I heard last year's Sahara there was a Japanese guy who was ALWAYS seen with a cigarette hanging on his lips. What a character. Maybe you can be this year's?

16.12.2009. Snowy-lazy day… (day expires like another - I am resting on the sofa, smoking the cigarettes, drinking the coffee and reading blogs on the internet). As usual, one way sends to another and finally I found myself on the 4desert page. I looked the videos and thought – powerful experience!
The cigarettes and coffee - another doze of poison.
Again.
Unaware I decided that this race is my goal in 2010. I need it. I need the pain and the naturally the quieting.
Am trapped.

Voluntarily by the way.

Voluntarily by the way.
