Gobi March (2008) blog posts from Ted Hodgkinson

03 June 2008 06:42 am (GMT+08:00) Beijing, Chongqing, Hong Kong, Urumqi

Firstly a big thanks to all who have sponsored me so far, and to those who are about too!!

I plan to use this blog to keep those interested up to date on how the race progresses for me. At this point my core objective is to finish and enjoy it as much as I can.

With less than one week to go the training is all but finished. After several months of lost weekends to hiking and managing work commitments and training during the week it's down to a few gentle gym sessions and some yoga to keep the body in shape. Although I suspect the real challenge will be with the mind, and the blisters, as the event progresses.

 Wil keep you posted

After some of the photos, I'm definitely not retraining as a chiropodist. and have cancelled my plans to holiday in the Gobi. Don't know about you but I'm looking forward to the end of the final stage. Well done.
