Hey Andy, sounds a brilliant adventure, results are amazing and you are an inspiration to us all. You will have completed the long distance now, hope that went well and you kept together mentally, it's down hill from now as you get towards the end of the race. Hopefully the hot weather training will pay off and you can get through the last couple of days strongly. Can't wait to share a beer when you get back. Keep running :-)

Absolutely fantastic results mate, especially a top 20 finish yesterday, bet you're chuffed with that. Shows all the hard work in training was definitely worth the effort as well as kit prep and planning. You're on the long stage as I write this, I'm sure you will be smashing that too. Watching your progress on here is certainly giving me the motivation to get my ass to the gym today, also need to plan for another big event like this. Hong Kong next year???

By the time you're reading this the 80km leg should be over. I hope the dog is ok.
Oh, and well done on this major stage.

Great effort man! Really impressed. It's fantastic to read how you're managing this challenge. Recently read about one Polish runner who said that when running 4 deserts isn't thunking about food/drinks, just staying focused on the effort and the very next mile. Mentioned that also changed distance beeps into after each 5 km. Not sure if it helps you but you never know.
Make sure you don't lose fun element of this! Cheers

Hey Andy, sounds like the adventure part is kicking in, scenery sounds stunning. You need to get the camera warm somehow for photographic evidence or we may just think you stayed at the hotel. Enjoy the KMs tomorrow and that it's a bit warmer.

I don't know; boiling water, mattresses? How is the temperature in the jacuzzi???
Sounds like it's an amazing course with some great scenery. Shame you couldn't get any pictures today, can't you find anywhere warm to put your phone?
The appetite thing may have been because of the heat, you're probably going to be burning a load more calories in the cold.
Progress looks good, top 39 placing. Well in advance of that top 101 finish!!
Things are the same here, signed up to a few more races along with some of the folks here, the big 42.2 entry for Singapore opens in a couple of weeks!!
Keep on going made, you're doing great.
