Sounds like an Epic day and a tough race. I assume you finished it okay. I'm hoping that the reasons why you haven't written a final post is not because you are still wandering around somewhere out in the desert.

Glad to hear it!! Doubt you're getting much Live TV over there but the UK isn't part of the EU anymore!! Good luck on the big march and see you in a few.

80 km...whatevs. No challenge for you! I'll be looking for the update on Friday. Good luck!!

Ha! 80 km, a walk in the park for a man like you Mr Sadler. After all you did twice that in Mount Fuji with an accumulative climb the height of Everest and then we drank beer all the next day with no sleep! Plus your rucksack will be lighter now and you don't have to carry that really heavy sleeping pad :) Get it cracked and you have the glory jog on the last day, enjoy the finish line mate

Hey Ed, Hope you get a good night sleep ready for the Long March. 13hrs..... easy. Looking forward to Friday's update. Keep going sir! Hugs Clare

First of all, my sleeping pad has a hole in it rendering it useless

Ed, now come on here - tighten up! Take whatever Gobi throws and laugh in its face and say Is that it; Is that the best you got!! Come on -give me a real challenge -like maybe 80Km Big March tomoro. The smart money is on another statistically significant move on Thursday - don't make me lose more money please ! Speaking of big moves, how are the tent flaps coping at night times & did you perform usual trick of helping others be at ease with themselves? Testudidinae Singapura may be calling meeting this evening to discuss your progress. U r foremost in our thoughts, so good luck, b safe !!

Good work Eddie! Big surprise, your day sounds a tad more productive than mine, but I might be squeezing in an hour or so of work today. While the fetal position sleeping on rocks doesn't sound too enjoyable, I'm sure you're enjoying the entire race. Keep running and talk to you soon.

Anthony Sadler

Statistically significant!! Keep it up father hope the literal bedrock gets a little better. We had a similar race in the house last night - I think it might've been 60 beers? Still made it work so doing you proud.

Sounds like you are doing well. Is it possible that this may now become the second best vacation ever?

Sounds like spirits are high despite the hole in the pad! I saw that the 'Breaking News' described that part of the course as a rock garden, that's pretty funny. Maybe it's a language/translation thing. And congrats on your finish, that's great! Keep it up! xx

Thought I wrote before, but can't find it. Sounds like things are going good. If you had packed a sewing kit, you could have mended your sleeping bag. Continued good luck, love ya

Btw - I cant find you in any photos, though your group looks amazingly cheerful! And I see you got some cheering on by the locals. And you didn't mention the pre-race culture show! lol

Who knew the 'Alps' in China?! Bizarre you got hail. Hope the heat doesn't get too bad. I'm very jealous you got to stay in a yurt. As you know traveling in Mongolia and staying in a yurt is on my bucket list. And yes that's the only thing about your trip that I'd be interested in, except maybe taking some photos. Total admiration, though!!

In my head I know I couldn't do what you're doing. In my heart I'm strangely envious; it sounds fantastic. All the best for desert sections.

Good morning Ed All sound good so far, actually. You make it sound incredibly easy, but I know it your thousands of miles of training carrying you through. Wish I could send you un piatto di pasta! Baci e abbracci

Bo - Great to hear that you lost your luggage. I hate being the only one. Glad to know that you rallied - sleep is overrated as you well know. I hope you packed the blister kit. Take lots of pics looks awesome. Enjoy the hike. It is good for your soul. Wish I was there - no wait a minute that would be stupid. Be strong

Hey, after a rocky start sounds like things are going good. I thought after a 12hr day in Springfield. Mass with 7 lacrosse games was tiring, what you're doing amazes me. Good luck Love ya Mom

C'mon my son! And remember - only fall asleep when you're in your yurt. No taking naps on the trail! Also, the other committee members of the 'Testudinidae singapura Ultra Trail Race Team' have asked me to pass on their regards and best wishes...
