We woke up to a pretty cold morning and we were all very apprehensive but keen to get started. I personally felt pretty good for the first 2 check points but at check point 3 we were at the bottom of a huge sand dune which was whee the problems started for me. We had to make a very steep climb up this dune which resulted in some major cramping issues for me. I managed my way through this section but it meant that I had really trouble running after this however I managed to get a good march on at this point to get through to the finish! Amazingly I managed to finish 25th

We arrived in Hami yesterday evening after a 14 hour trip to get here! Really not much to say about the place other than I'm fairly sure it's twin Towned with Basra! We had a lay over in Urumqi which was interesting to say the least! Our idea along with a number of other was to get to the train station and then grab so food.......lets just say that the fast food and take away options were basic to say the least!
