Dear Alexis, You should be coming in soon from your long march! Just want to say that you have been doing very well, and your spirit to complete the race is inspiring! Always remember the reason you started this, and I guess you will take in comfort that your temporary discomfort and tiredness is all worth it!! Enjoy your last 10km of scenery, conversations with people and comaraderie moments with all the other race participants :)

Hi there! We dunno each other but my hubby Alvin Tan & his gang (if u guys know each other already?) are also at the race with u now. Was curiously scrolling down the list to see how many Singaporeans are taking part in this race & surprised to see a 19 yo female taking part. Really proud of u! U can do it! Keep it up! :) Regards, Lin

So mjch to say k cant even begkn. Sorry for the thpos mh fkngers are so numb from he cold. Feels like I signed up for s race in Iceland rather hang gobi. It's lites;y been snowing here for the past twomdays. Two nghts ago it was probably aout neg degrees and the mornins are jut a single digit. In a wy it's good yknow cos yhe coldmforces you to kep movig snd moving. Once u stop its hard to get ur muscles warmed up again.

Weather aside, I really cant believe that im here - finally - racing in the obi desert. Dramt of this since months ago and still I feels so cmpltely surreal. I brought s camera but didn't even tske a single picture. Haha main reason is cos of the cold nd secondly I guess theyre all csptured in mmory. And how do I evn cspture the magnificence of th entire landscape. In just two dats, we have gone through sand dunes, grsslands, stone formations, multiple river crossings and saw hundreds of wild sheep hoses goats camel bugs etc. or even th pain. You don't see pain in the smiling posed pictures.

Really died today while going up the mountains (full of snow!!! 2700m!! slipeery! Freezing! Cant breathe! But this sgean dude kept telling me to take small baby steps up and go slow but fast. Even puhed my bag as I made my way up thw last few steps and offered me his precious supplies of jellybean as a reward. Reached the top and so very toiched!!! Its not an indiv race. We are all getting thru this tgt) But its important to keep goin and never let the pain get beyond u. the terrain can tear ur body apart but u cant ever let it touch the strength of ur mind. ive been countlessly inspired by so mny individuals on this race - the afghan women (they attach a tag free to run on theirbacks and when they run they run with their hands wide outstretched as if to catch all the wind amd they faces are full of glee and wild happiness. S insoiring), the blind runners (they - Omg staying at a village now and this little boy justngave me some local fermented goat cheese. Potent taste!!! - call themselves sound of the small bells and it was only till today that I realised why. They attach this mini bell to the end of their trekking poles to tap the way forward for the runners. U should see them getting thru the rivers. So so amazing.), john (for waiting for me aall the tume even though I was clearly the weak one) alan the singareans volunteers sally sunita etcetc omg and countless of other indivs whose names I cant rmb L

Everyone here is staying so strong and true to the spirit of the gobi march. Im not even thinking about the last day yet. Just taking each day as it comes and the ne experiences and growth it brings.

Have so muchnmore to say but I havemt had dinner yet and almosy everyone us sleeping alreadt. Bye!! 34km done. 40km done. A bit more left!!!! Also, pls pls if u haven't theresb still a bit more time left for u to donate to team horsebackgoi at

Finally reached hami yesterday without a hitch!! The journey was surprisingly fantastic and wayyy better than I expected. So we took the unconventional route of a slow-speed 27h train from Beijing direct to Hami, which is obviously longer than the internal flight and high-speed train route but I have no regrets! We were lucky enough to have gotten on the same cabin as Sally, a volunteer at the Gobi March (she
