dear all,
thanks for encouragement from all of you, yesterday should be the stage 5 ,long march day, however, the weater was extremely terrible, it was raining at that the beginning, when i arrrived check point 2, the temperature was around 13C and the check point 4 (summit) was nearly zero. by the time around 11:00am i kept on walked uphill to check point 3 , rain was pouring dowm from the sky, i was totally wet when i arrived check point 3 and find very cold. meanwhile, the staff anounced that all check point closed and the stage 5 call cancelled due to the bad weather. now i stay in the camp site waiting for the last 13K to the finish line line by tomorrow. it was a pity i can only finish 200 K instead of 250 K. no matter what safety first.
antonery thanks for you and your parents

Dea 3 all,
i had finished stage 3 by 10:15 hrs (including 1.5 hrs break) and stage 4 by 9:30 hr (1 hr break), .it was raining whole night on the day before yesterday. we all got wet at the begining. the tough part was from camp 2 to camp 3. we had climbed up 350 meter/1000 feet hill and started by half way to summit, there was foot no foot path at all. i was almost exhausted when i reach camp 3. however, eventually i finished it.
stage 4 is much ease and my backpack look like real lighter than before.
tomorrow is a long march, we have 52 miles non stop for 24 hours course. hoping i could finsih it peacefully.
lee, calvin thanks for your encouragement.
Antonery, thx. see you next week
sisters brothers and all my relative, thanks.
vivian, thanks, i lost my ipone cable, i will try to buy one, once i arrive beijing . if ii cannot get it, i will contact you by my ipad.

Great accomplishment Raymond. We've been tracking you. Be happy and proud and safe. We've been to restaurant 3 or 4 times and never open. Saw Chow and Sarah at airport leaving for Las Vegas. Nice of you to give them week off with pay. Register wouldn't fit in suitcase so they cleaned it out and left it at airport. Good luck to you and them. Sam and Dave

Raymond,
I know you do not know me and sorry to write on your blog when we do not know each other.
First of all, I give my hearty congrats to you for competing stage 4. I am following up your this race closely and every day I look for your post. I plan to run in Sahara in Feb 2014 for the first time and would like to see how this race goes. Your blog helps me a lot in knowing the race technically. I plan to run this race next year and your this detail blog will help me then.
I wish you very best and wish you could finish stage 5 which is the most difficult part, with flying colors.
Keep posting.
All the best
Cheers

Dear all,
Today is the second day oof the courrse, it is a 38 K course, had finished by 4:45 hrs. faster than ytesterday. it is not so tough . It was only climbed up about 300 meters/1000 feet. The whole course went through a lot of dy rocky river valley. Unfortunatlly, i had bring the wrong shoes, it was find sleepy when i got downhill , and a bit painfull when i run/walk along those rocky path. My shouder is not so painful as day before. To morrow, we had one difficut and one very difficult stage, that is stage 1 and 3 respectively. So that i may have no time to write bolg, calvin, lee thanks.
Vivian tell hammy i will back by week, portable solar system cannot charge fully, so i can do nothing for my iphone. Vincent, the whole medical team are ER doctor.

Today is 30 days to Gobi March 2013, I had just started to run with my 10 lbs backpack on by last week. It was hard for the first day, it feels better later on. I decided to increase the weight of my backpack to around 20 lbs by the last week training.
Hoping i will finish my race with no injury.
