OMG, OMG, OMG....... What a week....... the best and the toughest week of my life. As you can see from the website it was the most amazing race, stunning scenery, met the most amazing people and never experienced such comraderie.
Had a spectacular finish yesterday in the old town of Kashgar. Flying the Irish flag proudly and finishing in second place behind my inspiration Diaaaaan. Just recovering from the late night/early morning karaoke session. Can't wait to get home to see you alll. Thank you soooooo much for all the support, it really lifted my spirits out there.

See you soon.

Hi

Have arrived in Kashgar, after brief visits to Paris, Beijing and Urumqi.... what a place!
Getting to meet all the team and other competitors, everybody very excited. Can't wait to get started now.
We packed our race bags for the last time today and went for a training run, got some crazy looks from the locals.
Feel like a camel stocking up on food reserves.
We leave the hotel tomorrow afternoon and head off on a 3 hour bus journey into the desert. We have one night in the camp tomorrow night and then the race starts on Sunday morning :-)

Hope all is well at home.
