Wow, amazing to be in the most epic conditions of an already epic event. So glad you were able to finish the inferno stage and that the calf did not derail you. Kudos for being smart about pacing and nutrition! You are almost there--stay strong!

Wow! Can't believe you guys made it in such heat! So awesome of you to hang with your running mate! Good to hear about your calf and more energy and that you are doing ok after such a treacherously hot day! Your body must be related to a camel's :) The sand storm sounds crazy and I am so glad you guys were moved to a safe space. Good luck on the final day tomorrow! May everything work smoothly and you are happy at the finish line and they have some vegan treats!! :) Looking forward to Monday!!! Xoxoxo Tati

I read on the results page yesterday that you had a looooong day and was excited to read how it went (with fingers crossed). Amazing that you are feeling good after such a week, and crazy to read about the cold to boiling sun with in the last few days! Enjoy the break and the last stage!

Congrats! I see you made it through Stage 5 (through 1 meter visibility!). You're almost there. I hope the calf is not causing too many problems. Good luck on the Stage 6!

Holy crow what a roller coaster. Hope you found a long regenerative and healing nights sleep and wake up with the spirit and step of the kid that got you though the boulders on stage 3! Good luck!

Yikes--the calf sounds painful but it is amazing that you are still finishing so high up! You have moved up every stage and you have good energy so as long as the calf loosens up and allows you to run portions, you are going to do great on the long march. The heat sounds hugely challenging--you are all incredible to be running that far in those temps. Be smart and diligent about fluids--that could make or break you! Go get 'em!

Hey! So great about more energy yesterday! Sounds like it would have been a perfect day! Too bad about the calf! Hopefully with some rest and a good night sleep the calf will treat you well in the long 50 mile march. Wishing you energy and strength! No pain! You are so close to the end! Will be sending you well wishes all through the run while we sleep :) awesome about food and water! Keep up the good work! The boys and I are so proud of what you are accomplishing and can't wait to hear all the details when you come back! You are 13th overall which is incredible! There were also some great shot of you running yesterday in the wide open space. Lots of luck today!! Hope the heat treats you well! Big hugs!!! Xoxoxo Tati

Stage 3 was 27 miles filled with massive elevation change, boulders, streams, prickly brush, villages and breathtaking landscape.

Wow! Congrats on finishing 12th on day 3! Amazing! You are now ranked 14th overall! Which is incredible! Your mental toughness is legit and incredibly admirable. I don't know how you do it! I hope that Karen is right and the energy comes back and the cramping diminishes! Hopefully the warmer weather will help you in the next few days! Glad you loved the rocks and boulders that sounds like "fun". Wild about the river crossing and the terrain! Hope you are able to soak it all in and really appreciate Mother Nature and our beautiful planet :) wishing you a great race on day 4! Hopefully you are recharged! Big kisses and hugs! Tati and boys :)

Congrats on another stage completed! Hoping you wake up and have turned the corner energy and pain-wise--this "low" can't last forever. In the meantime, take solace knowing that on a day when you had no pep and were in a lot of pain from the start, you still finished 12th! Remember that the slower you go, the more time to savor the experience (silver lining!). I think you are amazing---I am following your progress with awe.

Nice bounce back from Day 1! It must have been more than a little disconcerting to start off feeling that bad with so much ahead of you. Must have been a huge relief to know that the altitude affected everyone. The changes in elevation and temperature will sure keep it interesting! You are doing amazingly well! Keep taking care of the little things each hour and that will bring you success in the big picture. Wishing you all the strength and resolve you need! Enjoy those views--you earned them. Karen

love reading about your journey. you're a trooper! sounds like you're doing great despite the circumstances. we have been rooting and praying for you state side and sending you tons of energy from all our yoga practices at wanderlust. can't wait to follow the rest of the race by keeping up with your posts and the stats. at wanderlust they were giving out the hemp pro sample size packets of protein powder (the ones you can't buy) and i told them about your journeys and they gave me an entire case to give to you, so it's waiting for you when you return for your other two races! you're inspiring everyone! Godspeed and safe racing! Laura

Hooray for an amazing yurt and a bed of sorts! Sounds like an amazing reprieve after a tough day! Elevation sickness stinks but hopefully your body will acclimate soon! Maybe by tomorrow? WE haven't seen official results but coming in top 20 is pretty damn amazing for not feeling so good! Wow! Wishing your body rest and acclimation to tackle day 2! lots of hugs! Tati and the boys :)

I'll bet your body will have adjusted much more overnight ... I predict you'll find Stage 2 likely easier due to more acclimation.. Great effort !! Bravo !!
