Again, anyone who thought we were done with mountains (or were doing a desert race) was proven wrong today. More grass, more forests, more rolling hills

Happy first days of summer! The updates have been great. Maybe your limbs have seen better days/you're starving, but I bet your vitamin D levels are so on point from the 80K furnace desert day! I hope the day went well, but sometimes the harder something is, the more you appreciate what you've accomplished once you arrive! Hope you get all the food, creature comforts, and high fives!

You are a "legend" in one more area!!! Treat your sprained ankle (aiya...) before setting off for the Long March - 80Km?? OMG!!! Send you the Cantonese phrase my Cap uses to encourage us not to give up: "唔停就贏" (Don't stop and you will succeed). GO dirty Ollie, hehe...a real toilet is waiting for you!

Relief to know that your ITB and knee is not bothering too much! Envy you to be amongst the beautiful scenery. I dug up my travel magazines to find the back issue that has a write up on that region, so that I can feel I am there sharing the view with you. What is a yurt?? Curious to know what you sleep in to make you feel so appreciative!! Again, add oil!!!!! Three more to go, by the time you take your first step over the starting line tomorrow, you would have already past the half way mark!!! Closer to the finishing point then!! Keep up the spirit and keep enjoying it!! We will keep tracking in our thoughts!!

Super great job Ollie - it looks like you're killing it! The pictures look amazing! I hope you and your pals had another good day and that everyone's bag is getting noticeably lighter. Sending you good muscle vibes and positive self-talk! Also, please send my regards to the goat if he's still caravanning with the group.

Miserable rainy and cold night. So grateful for our yurt camp! But the wind and rain (and snoring) kept many up most the night. Thank goodness for my ear plugs!

Much slower due to left quad and ITB tightness that started this morning. Also knew I wasn

As departure time approaches for an event, it's easy to get caught up with what else you could have done or get frustrated by niggles or equipment issues. It's easy to forget how far you've come in fitness and race prep, how much you've learned about your "race plan", your equipment choices, your food choices... I don't think anyone ever feels 100% ready, but I don't think you need to. You just need to accept you can start the race.

I'm about to do my final training hike in stinking hot, sunny, humid coniditions and with a 9kg bag. And I've just had my last Expedition Food trial breakfast and a milo-mocha to fuel me for it.
