ETAPA 5 TERMINADA!!!! 76Km! 17:42:08!! Sin parar, solo como 20 min de Descanso. Posicion 84! Creo que no hay cosa mas fuerte que lo que logramos ayer. Ya van 34 personas que se han retirado, unos por deshidratacion, otros por lesiones, otros por ampollas, otros porque los vencio la mente.. Dios ha sido GRANDE conmigo, no me ha dejado ningun segundo! No tengo ni una ampolla. La etapa fue ETERNA, un Ironman se queda corto por lejos. Salimos a las 8 directo a un campo salado .. imginenese corriendo con los pies mojados con agua salada.., luego nos encaminamos a eternas distancas de piedra, arena, eternas, eternas. Por el Km 42 nos tenian la sorpresa de una duna de unos 100mt de alto con uno 45 a 55 grados de inclinacion y a 45 grados de temperatura.. era de treparla . Esto despues de 14 km de la ultima estacion ya casi sin agua. Me le uni al equipo lider Espaniol y nos fuimos juntos por dos etapas. Al final les logre sacar como 20 min. Luego llego la noche y el frio, aqui las tempersturas son extremas.. como todo. De dia puede superar los 45 grados y bajar cuando el sol se va a 0C o menos. Al llegar la noche nos toco navegar con nuestras headlamps y guiados por uno signos…Me logre escapar de un grupo en la estacion 5, muchos estaban colapsados. Sali a las 8 y llegue a la 1:37 AM. Esto lo guardare en mi memoria como uno de los dias mas rudos y duros. Pero bien.. ya paso!!! He aprendido muchisimo sobre la mente. Es importantisimo lo que debemos dejar entrar a nuestros pensamientos y lo que no. En el momento que algo negativo quiere entrar se le ordena a la mente que no.. y simplemente se llena con algo positivo y todo comienza a salir mejor.. la mente es increible. Un nota final, cuando iba en lo peor del calor vi alguien caminando atras mio de blanco.. crei que era otro corredor.. al voltear ya no habia nadie..un angel? Alucinando?... no se.
Bueno.. manana no toca una etapa final de 10Km J!!! Ya casi.. pero aun hay un pelo mas. J, Vale, Sophy las amo y las SUPER EXTRANIO!

In km 42 we had a monster dune to climb, almost without water in the hottest moment of the day.. this race plays games with your body and mind… I started running at 8 am and finished at 1:40 am. Is increbible how powerful is the mind.. if you keep hydrated and your electrolites up, some carbs, the rest is on the mind..

Que paso!! Te escribí hoy tempranito, estaba pendiente de los resultados en la madrugada y estaba chequeando los mensajes y no me veo, pero any way, uuuuuuuuhhhh!!!! Que rico se debe sentir cumplir esa etapa especialmente, me imagino que debe costar disfrutarlo, pero trata de no pasar esos momentos desapercibidos, mañana estaremos en espíritu recibiendote, un abrazo y seguí disfrutando hasta donde podas, salud!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's so good to hear from you!! You finished 73rd - that's great - right smack in the middle - I can't believe your pack weighs 30lbs - que paso? I thought it was lighter than that? I also thought you couldn't tirar cosas? I can't believe how fast the 1st place guy finished that is amazing!!
