I have just had a few terrible weeks, physically. I completed the Thames 50 within my wished for time of 12 hours and felt great. In the days following I had only a little pain, due to a mega blister. However, since then, I have struggled with motivation. I believe I became too obsessed with the Thames 50 and lost sight of the bigger goal. So what now?

I originally started training back in November of 2006. I quickly built my miles up from 30 to 40 and then 60 miles a week, pushing quite hard and yet feeling good. I used local running events as goal's and training tool's and fed of the energy of these events, big or small.

I still feel strong and healthy, and ready to get on with it. I hope to use this blog as a motivational tool and arrive for the Atacama Crossing not only ready, but a strong member of my team.

As some chap in the thick of it once said: Once more into the breach dear friend...
