That was a very hot day.

We started running uphill on a mix of sand and stones ground, and cross a few sand dunes.

Going down the sand dunes pretty fast is a lot of fun.

Then we arrive in an oasis before checkpoint 1.

We crossed a small town, then starting crossing the desert until CP2

CP2 and CP3 were challenging as we could see them from far away but we had another half an hour to get there.

CP3 wss right next to an oasis. Then we had to pack 2.5L of water for the next 12k, CP4,

To cross the salt flats. It was super hot. I drank all of it, whereas a normal run in London I would only have half a liter

Allez Mathieu t'es presque au bout, ça va le faire tranquille. Tu peux lâcher les chevaux maintenant ;) On te voit bien grignoter quelques places facile !! Bon run demain - un bon coup d'Eminem dans les oreilles et ce sera déjà la fin ;) Svartifosssss !!

Trop contente de voir que tout se passe bien jusqu'ici, et hate de lire ton recit de stage 4! Je ne suis pas sure que tu recois tous mes messages et je n'ai pas non plus recu tous tes mails je crois mais je suis tes aventures de pres sur le site et remercie les paparazzi de 4deserts :) Garde des forces pour la longue marche, profite bien des beaux paysages et prends bien soin de toi! Old chap You are doing a truly amazing job - keep up your fantastic effort - and just think how lucky you are to be doing such an amazing thing... one day you will look back when your old, smelly and crusty and can no longer walk... due to all the running you did as a young man - and smile with delight at what you have achieved - its a great effort old dog.. hopefully we will run together in June of next year for the GOBI... - run safe - and listen to your body... walk the hills - run the flats - and do your best to get the hell out of the sun... it all about time on legs - the longer your out in the sun - the harder it will be... so basically run faster hahaha..

Hi Everyone, I am nearly ready to fly on Thursday. I will be in San Pedro on Friday and the race will start on Sunday 2nd, good start day as it is also the birthday of my sister Nathalie and my friend Stephane, so I will have some special thoughts for you.

I am so much looking forward to be there, try not to forget anything and get my physio to fix some pain I have been having recently. I am going to start the race slow, as I don't know how this wil turn out. So the first 3 days, I will go slow, take it easy. If everything goes well,

d'accord il y a des histoires de satellite , de décalage horaire ... On est patient , on se dit qu'on en saura plus tout bientôt Sauf qu'on frissonne quand même en ce jour de départ !
