Unfortunately I could only get to the 42km mark on the last Long stage today in Atacama. Very emotional to not be able to finish

Hang in there buddy! All the bits which sting and burn will make the telling of the tail all the better. If it’s as tough as it looks you can recruit me for the next one. Airborne!

Go Ben! I thought there was some error, I just read 24th place! Wow, amazing! That's the way to go. And over halfway already, you'll be back in the main square for beer and pizza sooner than ever. Hope it's all working out and feet are not playing up. Seeing as you're up there with the front runners, send my regards to Ash and Zandy if you can. And also to Dilpa of course. Head down, stay strong and best of luck.

Great few days aclimatising in San Pedro de Atacama and we are all packed and ready for the kit inspection on Saturday. Remarkably the only loss on the journey was a water bottle somewhere which has been replaced and Dilpas mini pepperonis whoch didn't make it past the sniffer dogs at the airport. She has made up for it by buying fresh Chillis from a local veg cart that even made her eyes water!
