Dark and Stormy day

As planned , everybody completed this 80 km.

It is done.

Our feet now look like Hobbit feet, but as Serge said : pain is a privilege.

Blisters count is a little bit out of control.

For the last km , we were looking like private Ryan coming into the beach.

Hello les gars de chez-nous! Great accomplishment! Ricky a donné un bel effort. Keep on going the finish line is near and the beer will be great. Denis peut vous inviter sur la Moisie l'été prochain. Ça va être moins tough. See you soon. CAL

Who said , that it was easy?

We lost a member of our team today.

Ricky had to drop at mid stage today. Dunes climbing yesterday killed his legs.

Sandy surface today, and rocky hills brought him to his knees.

He gave everything, but the tank was empty.

I am proud of him. He did 150 km all in.

I am sure is really disappointed, but it was the right decision,

We are two in the team now.

I can't wait to read Stage 5's blog.. the pictures of all 3 of you in this stage already paint a good picture - sorry to have a chuckle, haha, but have a peek at the picture of you climbing the dune :)

I always knew that you would do it again. Knowing that you are in, safe, that you lead our friends to home, and that you would do it again without hesitation, if being asked, is making me so proud that our lives have crossed path one day. I will cherish our friendship forever. To your Mandela quote, this one from Colin Powell: “There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work and learning from failure.” What's missing, I WILL FIX. Love you guys. All of you. Now I can go to bed.

One has fallen but two are still standing up. The worst is being you. Look up and you see the finish line. From one Ironman to two Ironmen, Great job guys. You have my outmost respect. Make us proud. En passant, je peux pas croire que vous allez vous faire battre par une équipe d'egg rolls. Come on, lets go. Allez les chercher. Louis

Salut les BOYS, Happy to learn that all members of NCTOM made it through stage 3. I wish you all the best for the remaining of the course. Enjoy the ride and respect you limits. You are making me jealous (well, not that much when I think of what you must be going through) of not being there with you and hear you less than funny jokes. Vive Normand D'Amour et Patrick Normand. Happy trail! Louis

Yesterday we had 70km/h draft blowing in the desert.

We had a good sandblast. Quite hard to run in altitude without oxygen with sand in your face.

Today ,our team felt like we went 10 round of boxing with Floyd Mayweather.

We started strong , but finished on our knees.

The run trail was tough, made for goats, more than for runners.

On the positive side two things:

  • We are leading in the team competition
  • Only 170 km to go !

My partners will recuperate tonight. On my side , I can say that for me, hills of beautiful Bermuda were the best training for this event.

Tomorrow will be ready to knock down Mayweather.
