Thanks for being my wounded buddy. It was hard but that was an unforgettable night in that huge desert arena watched over by a full moon walking along together and giving each other moral support.

After what happened yesterday with the nutrition I decided to go slow. Starting at the back I will walk the entire day. And I did. That was a long day walking on s***y terrain. Where you don

Oh what another tough day! Last night I was able to get enough calories in after a day where I pushed the engine bit too much.

Today started with some runnable sections before hitting a mud frozen-like terrain. And that was no fun. Checkpoint 1 and 2 went relatively fast. Then started to be concerned about not peeing enough. We all have our own problems right? From there all went south again. Lol. Am definitely not smart runner. Go hard or go home? No thank you. I decided to stay for an hour at CP3. Ate and drank a bit. Went off feeling way better. Only to crash again few miles before camp.

I guess I will finish this race how I should have started: slow. My tent mate Eilon is making sure am not doing any more stupid things.

Overall a very emotional day. I arrived at camp at about 4pm.

I am still joking around. moral is good. But now I will focus more on making selfies and enjoying the scenery

Camp 1. Fun atmosphere of happy campers. Everybody is smiling and laughing at camp. Wind is picking up and we are getting ready for a very cold night. My teammates are envious for my toe warmers. Not sure it will be cosy though. Had my first freeze dried meal tonight and the 1,000 cal went down easy.

First stage starts at 8am tomorrow morning. No prediction. I just want to enjoy the run in this stunning scenery.

Backpack weighs 10kgs on day 1 and will get lighter throughout the week.

More news tomorrow after stage 1.

Oh boy what a tough day. Running the slots canyon in freezing water was well cold and beautiful. We crossed that river quite a lot of time.

Very hilly and warm today. We started little after 9 am and I made it to camp after 3pm. Lots of walking today too. And I thought of Jordan with whom I did Volcanic 50k this year. I got sick 8 miles before camp. Hydration was perfect and went south suddenly.

I have not eaten anything solid yet tonight.

We experienced a huge sand dune downhill which was beautiful and fun. later in the week we will climb some dunes. Today was very sandy. I hate sand. I walked all the sandy parts.

Tomorrow will be another tough one.

On a side note there is less stuff in the bag but it feels heavier than day one!

Keep your messages and comments coming I will need them!

Talk soon.
