Well, I jumped into the deep end of the proverbial pool!  Confirmation of my registration for the 2021 Atacama Crossing received, and now the journey and training begins!  At first my thoughts and emotions vacilated between "what in the world did I just do" to absolute excitment for the experience. Now I am for the most part just excited and looking forward to the race and meeting the other competitors next September. So thankful for my experienced coaches who will help with my preparation for this amazing goal for 2021!

Mental health is something that impacts us all, either directly or indirectly. My journey will hopefully raise awareness for suicide prevention and awareness.  With the aftermath and toll of the worldwide pandemic, this is an important conversation.  If my experience changes the life for one person, then it will all have been worth the tremendous effort.

This is exciting. I just registered for the Atacama Crossing 2021 yesterday. My feelings were also a combination panic and excitement. Looking forward to meeting you and the rest of the participants!
