As I always call you "Crazy Lady" but mean it with the utmost respect. You would be proud, George made me leave the high heels at home while playing in the city. We love you and are soooooo proud of you. You can say to Atacama what we always say to mile marker 5!!! Get ready Paul, Mama is heading home! Luv ya Cindy and George.

Somewhere behind the athlete you have become, the hours of training, the people who motivate you, and the friends that cheer for you is a woman who fell in love with this sport and never looked back. Run for her. As you preach to me; relax, breathe and don't forget to enjoy very minute. So proud of you and miss you so much. Cindy

Day 1. Finish yay. I felt healthy tried to take it easy. Elevation was 10,500 and we did 21.9miles. no sickness at all,hot and all kinds of terrain. They say it is easiest day. It is not cold at night like I was told which is a good thing. It gets windy around 5 and ends at 8 good breathing at night. Course is very loose dirt not good for breathing.i have good tentmates. I love everyone back home and miss you especially PAUL.

So good to hear you are feeling great. You think you have it hard running 21 miles at 11,000 feet altitude? Try running 3 miles around the loop at Wrightsvilee Beach at 28 degrees in am:)))). That's hard:)). Just kidding. Keep it up. Luv Ya.

Hi Lisa, you should receive my message in San Pedro and hopefully less nervous now. Take a deep breath, it's higher up but you will notice that it does not take a long time to get used to it. Just wanted to wish you good luck for the week ahead. Enjoy the gorgeous Atacama Desert and those starry nights at camp sites. I will follow you through the webcoverage from Hong Kong. Riitta (RacingThePlanet team) Ps. When you get back home, sign up for a local race. With all that altitude "training" you will kick a*s :)
