After running my first marathon last year my mind turned to ultras. I knew nothing and was using search terms such as 'how far is an ultra'. But within a few days I had my heart set on the Marathon des Sables 2012. I signed up and a year later I was running on the sand. Like my first marathon once the dust had settled I found myself asking 'what next'? I didn't know the answer in April but now it's June and I have entered the 2013 Atacama Crossing. I'm still carrying an MdS injury and have only just been getting my mileage going again. I have a long way to go but there are many months until March next year and I'll keep up the training the whole time I am not injured (which seems to be usually grrrr). Will I keep the blog up? I don't know. Next step for me is to book a flight but I just have to figure out when I should arrive with regards to acclimatising. Should anyone be reading this let me know what you think. The questions have only just begun....

Um, I think, you'll be running WAY ahead of me Felix ! :o) Whats the injury you're carrying btw ? You're fitter than a butchers dog...
