The countdown start for the race, and there is only time to rest, eat well and plan this amazing race.

 

This will be my first time running at the desert and that altitude, so my expectation are to be crossing the finish line on March 13th.

 

I just read an interview to Dean Karnazes asking which was the most difficult race he has ever done…….and GUESS………Atacama Crossing.

hola canuto me alegro mucho por tu efuerzo y ten mucha tranquilida. aun falta mucho por correr recuerda que esto es un desafio personal y la meta es llegar. el sudafricano es una vestia corrimos junto en gobi pero esto se pude decidir en los 80kilometros asi que mucha calma y mente ok un gran abrazo para ti y saludos para todos los competidores de chilenos atte.ultralambert

But relax is not too much and with the incredible amplitude of the desert you forget everything. See you at the race. Saludos

Really? Dean Karnazes said the Atacama Crossing was the hardest? Greeeeaaat haha. I'm a little nervous about the altitude. I live at the beach in San Diego so us beach bums have no altitude whatsoever although the mountains are just a stones throw away. Santiago is pretty much at sea level too isn't it? We'll all be heaving together.
