One of the enduring memories I have from Day 5 happened with an hour left in the day.

Congratulations Colin. The experience you're living is truly remarkable and one you trained hard for. With the pain you're feeling, I'm also very happy to hear that you're staying focused on smelling the roses and being present in what appears to be one of the purest and more gorgeous places on earth. Enjoy the last day...and the incredibly well deserved celebrations!

Looks awesome pal - keep it going! PS please bring a penguin home for my boys ... ideally a baby one. I think it will make an awesome chanukah present.

So close to the finish of one epic adventure. Stay strong and healthy and using your toolbox give it all you have so you can enjoy the return voyage knowing you spent every ounce of energy you've got. You're a stud. Thinking about you and wishing i was there. Well thinking about you for sure. There ...... dunno.

I got 6.5 hours of sleep, but after putting your body through that punishment, I could have slept for 12!

Colin, Love reading your blog. I'm sending you lot of warm and positive thoughts on your body, mind and soul leading you through a great human experiment. Love the Polar Bear description of multilayers of fir to absorb and hold heat. There must be a metaphor in there for a future story. :-) Go Colin, Danny

Awesome mate! I'm here in NZ right now so I'll head outside to the beach, face South and scream good luck and a little prayer for you too. Listen carefully .... you'll get it. Nucky

Keep it up Brother. Remember one foot in front of the other. Pain is temporary. Success is eternal. If it gets too cold, think of Hawaii in May.

Sounds like an amazing journey Colin, and this trip looks to be absolutely amazing! Did you manage to sneak in a camera !?! Glad you get a comfy bunk at the end of each day this year ;) It has been very interesting being able to support you through all the trips, albeit from a distance. Incredible stamina - I tip my hat to you Colin! All the best, Christine
