DIVISIONS
RacingThePlanet Limited has three divisions: Events, Retail and Multimedia. Each is explained below.

EVENTS DIVISION
The Events Division consists of the 4 Deserts series and RacingThePlanet. The 4 Deserts is a global series of seven-day, 250-kilometer (155 mile) self-supported footraces across the Gobi Desert of China (Gobi March), the Atacama Desert of Chile (Atacama Crossing), the Sahara Desert of Egypt (Sahara Race) and Antarctica (The Last Desert). The events take place in the driest, hottest, coldest and windiest places on Earth. The events attract competitors from around the world and has become the most prestigious global outdoor event in the world. RacingThePlanet is a similar format however the event changes locations to a new country each year. RacingThePlanet: Vietnam 2008 was held in February 2008.  RacingThePlanet is next scheduled for Namibia in May 2009 and the Outback in Australia in 2010.

RETAIL DIVISION
RacingThePlanet uses its events as a research laboratory to develop and test outdoor products that will set the standard for innovation, lightness and durability. Given the location of the events -- the hottest, coldest, driest and windiest places on Earth, over seven days across varied terrain, slot canyons and sand dunes – the events create an unrivaled product testing lab.

MULTIMEDIA DIVISION
RacingThePlanet employs a media team for film and document each event. Technology is at the core of everything it does and aspires to do. The Multimedia Division is in charge of creating and maintaining the proprietary websites located at www.racingtheplanet.com and www.4deserts.com. RacingThePlanet creates and sells film content, produces short video clips and aims to create the world’s best platform for GPS mapping, Google Earth imagery, forum, blogs, etc. as they relate to outdoor sporting events.
