| Charities |
| There are many individuals raising money for charities. Here are a few details. |
| Scott Smith (USA) is raising funds for two individuals. One individual is Marlene Magee, a teacher at his school who recently underwent heart surgery and treatment for breast cancer. She was diagnosed in October 2004. The other individual is one of Scott's students, 17-year-old Thomas Shawhan, who was diagnosed with plasmacytoblastic lymphoma cancer in September 2004. His primary immune deficiency is Wiskott-Aldrich disease. He has undergone chemotherapy treatment sessions and also a bone marrow transplant. He was forced to drop out of school due to the severity of the treatment but has signed up for classes this year. Please contact Scott Smith for details on how to make a donation. |
| Tony Brammer (UK) is hoping to raise £100,000 for a charity called SAFE@Last based in North Yorkshire (UK). The charity provides front line services for young people under the age of 16 who have run away from or been forced to leave home and are at risk of harm. In the UK, 100,000 kids run away from home each year. Tony's campaign is called Gonnado. |

| Team Stray Dogs (USA) is raising money for the Religious Teachers Filippini. The Sisters of the Religious Teacher work to promote the dignity of women and children in some of the poorest countries in the world - and at home - by providing an education to those who previously had limited opportunities and choices in their lives. The Sisters also help provide the necessities of life: water, food, shelter, and clothing. |
