He has completed the Marathon Des Sables, the Gobi March 2003 and the Atacama Crossing 2004. He has also made it to the summit of Adams Peak in Sri Lanka and Mt. Kinabalu in Borneo. His hobby besides jogging is cooking. The Sahara Race is Gunnar's fourth 4 Deserts event.

He has been a keen amateur sportsman from a very early age. Currently he is competing in the Action Asia Sprint series in Hong Kong. Other interests include; windsurfing, skiing, hiking, squash and generally keeping fit. He loves the outdoors and relishes new challenges. This will be Christopher's first 4 Deserts event and he will be competing with plenty of enthusiasm!
